Hello, I’m Simonne Moodie – a Gold Coast-based artist specialising in high-gloss resin art that captures the light, movement and mystery of the ocean, alongside striking crystal-inspired creations that celebrate the natural beauty, energy and brilliance of crystals. 

For more than 25 years, I’ve been creating original art, with my work now held in private collections across Australia, England, New Zealand, the USA and Switzerland. What began as a lifelong passion for colour, texture and nature has evolved into a distinctive style that brings together fine art, functional design and interior statement pieces.

Resin is my medium of choice because of the extraordinary depth, luminosity and movement it creates. I work with layers of professional-grade resin, metallic and pearlescent pigments, crushed mirror, reflective glass, crystals and other carefully selected elements to create highly polished, glass-like surfaces that transform as the light moves across them.

My work ranges from ocean and abstract wall art, resin clocks and custom tables to statement bedheads, kitchen splashbacks and large-scale feature walls. Each piece is individually designed and handmade in my Gold Coast studio, making every creation completely unique.

I especially love creating pieces that become part of the space itself — artwork that goes beyond something simply hung on a wall and becomes a striking feature of the interior.
